When it comes to Jews in entertainment, I don’t think any job comes comes to mind more so then comedian. Comedy is central to the Jewish way of life.
I can’t put it better than Tim Whatley in Seinfeld, after converting to Judaism just for the comedic powers that came along with the religion:
“Tim: Jerry, it’s our sense of humor that sustained us as a people for 3000 years.
Jerry: 5000.
Tim: 5000, even better. Okay, Chrissie. Give me a schtickle of flouride.”
You want a comedian, best bet is to hire a Jew. I can’t think of any instance where such a small % of the population has done so well in such a large industry (except of course Law, Medicine, Finance..)
Also, a buncha the bloggers over at Barstool are Jewish, so yeah they’re pretty funny. Also Neil isn’t Jewish, so yeah plus one for the home team.
